Faith Community Nurse Recognition by Portfolio Process

As the membership organization representing Faith Community Nurses, the Health Ministries Association (HMA) is the entity eligible to work with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) on the development of a credentialing process. To develop any exam or process for recognition, the membership organization must meet specific requirements mandated by the ANCC. The HMA is committed to meeting those requirements and the development of a portfolio process for the certification/recognition of FCNs. To this end, they continue discussions with ANCC and are implementing strategies for the completion of a portfolio process.
