New benefits have been added to expand the resources available to FOC members.
A Friend of the Center (FOC) is someone who supports health ministry in the name and spirit of the International Parish Nurse Resource Center (IPNRC) and Rev. Dr. Granger Westberg, the father of modern health ministry. A Friend of the Center is also interested in the development and expansion of local and global Parish Nurse Ministry.
Being an FOC provides support to the IPNRC for the creation and development of tools and resources that can enhance Parish Nurse Practice. Throughout the year, the IPNRC investigates and produces materials for parish nurses by listening to the needs of parish nurses and collaborating with experts in the various topics selected. Some of those materials are available only through an FOC subscription.
FOC subscription is $45 a year and provides a variety of benefits that support parish nurse practice. A 12 month subscription includes the following:
- A subscription to Parish Nurse Perspectives – the on-line quarterly publication which is the only international periodical for parish nurses
- A specially designed FOC logo for letterhead, business cards, and other items in a parish nurse/health ministry practice
- A gift certificate for use at the Westberg Symposium's IPNRC booth
- FOC specials from the IPNRC "Resource Store" that are offered quarterly
- Downloadable health flyers developed specifically for health ministries

- A 40% discount on the book Nurse: Past, Present and Future, The Making of Modern Nursing, a publication chronicling the history and future of nursing from Black Dog Publications, London, UK

Subscriptions are also available at Congregational, Network, and Institutional levels. Their benefits for each are as follows:
- Congregational Subscription - $125
- receives up to 10 passwords to access the on-line materials listed above
- Network Subscription - $250
- receives up to 25 passwords to access the on-line materials listed above
- Institutional Subscription - $1000
- receives up to 50 passwords to access the on-line materials listed above
Consider becoming (or renewing) a Friend of the Center and support Parish Nurse development. Subscribe today via on-line or downloading the Friend of the Center form. The on-line process is easy through the secured application page: select the type of subscription, enter your personal information, and authorize the corresponding credit card fee (see our privacy policy on how your personal information is handled). Once the subscription is processed you will select a username and password to access the "members only" section of the website. There you can view and download current and archived issues of Parish Nurse Perspectives as well as quarterly health flyers. As your renewal date approaches, you will be prompted to renew your subscription.
